Redskins Seek Revenge On Vick

We all know what happened last year on Monday Night Football at FedEx Field when The Eagles came to town. That Eagles team was supposed to be amazing this season. They aren't. Michael Vick's seven interceptions through five games has helped the 1-4 record. The Redskins, on the other hand, are 3-1 coming off a bye week and atop the NFC East. This could be a trap game, but let's hope that doesn't happen.

Eagles (1-4) at Redskins (3-1)
Sunday, 1 p.m.
FedEx Field
TV: Fox
Announcers: Sam Rosen (play by play), Brian Billick (color), Laura Okmin (sideline)
Line: Redskins by 1
Projected Uniforms: Redskins-burgundy helmets, burgundy jerseys, gold pants. Eagles-green helmets, white jerseys, green pants.
Breakdown: At the time the schedule came out, everyone and their brother probably thought that this game would feature the worst team versus the best team in the NFC East. What they didn't figure, though, was that the Redskins would be leading the way with the Eagles in bringing up the rear.
The Redskins are coming off a 17-10 win in St. Louis two weeks ago in which they shut out St. Louis over the first three quarters, sacked Sam Bradford seven times, and got a monster performance from Ryan Torain, who figures to get the start at running back Sunday with Tim Hightower limited in practice this week. Torain saw his first action of the season against the Rams and rushed for a bruising 125 yards and a touchdown. Hightower is listed as questionable but optimistic about his chances of playing. Add third-stringer Roy Helu to that mix, and you've got one of the best rushing attacks in the league. The Eagles have been gashed by the likes of Ahmad Bradshaw, Brandon Jacobs, and Fred Jackson in recent weeks. The Redskins have gotten more pass-happy in their last couple games, which I don't get, because the Eagles' secondary is a lot better than their run defense. Fortunately, Washington catches a break because Philadelphia will be missing their best pass-rusher, Trent Cole, who is out with a calf strain. Still, RUN THE BALL DOWN PHILLY'S THROAT.
On the other side, Michael Vick isn't having the crazy year everyone thought he would have. A lot of that has to do with the fact that opponents have been in his backfield all day every day. He won't get a respite with the likes of Brian Orakpo, Ryan Kerrigan, Adam Carriker, Stephen Bowen, and Barry Cofield coming at him. It also doesn't help that Jason Peters, who is regarded as Philly's best offensive lineman, is out with a hamstring injury. Peters' backup, King Dunlap (a great name), might also miss the game with back spasms. The Redskins need to get to Vick and knock him on the ground, or at least force him into mistakes, because Philly has some lighting-fast receivers, namely DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin, who killed the Redskins last year. The Eagles also have a solid running back in LeSean McCoy, who draws comparisons to former Redskins great Clinton Portis.
A note on special teams-Redskins punter Sav Rocca (a great name as well, and my current man crush) will be playing his first game against his former team since signing with Washington this offseason. Rocca, who is averaging over 45 yards per punt this season and leads the NFL with 12 punts inside the 20 and zero touchbacks, spent the first three years of his NFL career with the Eagles. Why did they let him go?
Prediction: A lot of people like the Eagles here. Why? I don't. Redskins 21-13
